Meet Me - Lin Former!
I began a life long passion for cake decorating and baking 30 years ago in classes that my parents suggested I take through the local Community Education program. I soon found it to be fun and a wonderful way to make people happy.
(My first tier cake was for my grandparents 50th year anniversary!)
This soon became a hobby, which became a passion and now has become my business of many years! I have perfected my skills over time by working in restaurants and colleges as a baker/decorator and have trained at a professional school in Chicago.
Although I work in all mediums, I specialize in Pulled Sugar, a lost art dating back to the pyramids. I am a member of ICES - International Cake Exploration Societe' and a member of the Michigan Chapter as well.
I am an avid animal lover and over the years have rescued many.
Today, 'cakes beyond expectation' is a culmination of all my years of training and experience in master cake design and decorating. Custom design, creativity and imagination coupled with the ability to interpret my client's ideas into reality is what sets me apart from the ordinary - but above all -
it still makes people happy!!
